Overweight and obesity are defined as abnormal or excessive fat accumulation that presents a risk to health. Obesity refers specifically to having an abnormally high proportion of body fat. A person can be overweight without being obese, such as a bodybuilder or an athlete who has a lot of muscle. However, many people who are overweight are also obese.
On a more scientific basis, obesity is expressed in terms of body mass index (BMI):
This is calculated in the following way:
BMI= Weight in kilograms/ (Height in meters) 2
The BMI can be compared with the following ranges:

Below 20 Underweight
20-25 Acceptable
25-30 Overweight
30-40 Obese
Over 40 Very obese

Obesity is increasing!

Currently more than 1 billion adults are overweight - and at least 300 million of them are clinically obese. More than 200 million obesity cases are estimated in India (WHO).
Statistical data reveals that the problem of obesity has increased from 12–20% in men and from 16–25% in women over the last ten years.
Large increases have occurred in the last 10 to 15 years. Increases were seen in both sexes and all socioeconomic classes, with the greatest increase seen in 18- to 29-year-olds and in those who have achieved higher education.

Garlic helps to break up toxins, which leads to abnornmal blood pressure and heart problems. Garlic stimulates blood circulation and is also one of the best herbs for the digestive system. Garlic should not be taken alone for it can increase dullness of the mind. In Unani system of medicine it is used as significant   cleansing agent of internal organs of body (Munaqqi-e-azai-e-batini).

Commiphora wightii contains Guggulsterol & Guggulsterone which act as a potent Anti hypolipidaemic agent which reduced serum cholesterol, total lipids and triglycerides significantly.

Side Effects and Dosage
This medicine is free from any kind of side effects. There are no caffeine and ephedrine in Trim-up medication so that there will be no harm to your body. It is a non-prescription drug which means there is no need to see your doctor to start the use of Trim-up. But for staring its use doctor's advice as precautionary measure should be taken. Doctor must be aware about your medical history and present physical status. Trim-up effect on embryo is not known so pregnant ladies and breast feeding mothers must avoid using Trim-up.
Adult: Two capsules are to be consumed orally for about two to three times a day
Children: One capsule is to be consumed orally for about two to three times a day
After achicuring the desired weight loss, reduce capsule intake to 1-capsule twice a day. Trim-up should be used continuously for at least 3 to 6 months to notice improvements.

Some tips

Prevention is better then cure. You must take precautions rather following treatment after increase in weight. Once you are obese it is difficult to treat yourself.

  • Avoid excess eating, eating during indigestion or just after taking pervious meal.
  • Avoid day sleeping; sleep in the night after one hour of your dinner.
  • Do regular exercise like brisk walking (at least), running, swimming etc. avoid sedentary and lethargic lifestyle.
  • Avoid eating excess sweets. Have low fat /skim dairy products. Avoid product like chocolates, ice creams, cheese, paneer, sugar etc.
  • Take non-vegetarian food like chicken, fishes, eggs, meats etc. in moderate quantity. Remove fat from meat & skin from chicken.
  • Try to minimise excess oil & ghee in cooking, Use a non-stick pan for cooking. avoid hydrogenated vegetable oils, Instead of frying things try to consume roasted things & change your cooking techniques a little. Grill or bake food instead of frying, cook vegetables without fat by steaming and boiling.
  • Use low fat spreads and chutney on bread instead of butter and cheese.
  • Don't consume excess alcoholic drinks or water on empty stomach.
  • Avoid aerated drinks and excess water after meal.
  • Intake of fat and carbohydrates should be restricted.
